Performs general front and back office duties including reception, registration, appointment scheduling, medical records, and back office functions as necessary.
High School Graduate or equivalent required. Some college business or computer course work essential. Medical Assistant certification highly preferred. Current certification in CPR. Strong organizational and written and spoken communication skills essential. Demonstrated mastery of practice management systems is required with CPT, ICD9 coding experience beneficial. Experience with at least two of the following required: medical record processes, appointment scheduling, referral and authorization processes, registration process, back office clinical support. Demonstrated ability to work independently on a variety of complex tasks, managing competing deadlines. Bilingual capability preferred. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in developing and promoting high performance work groups. Proven ability to communicate and work cooperatively with all levels of employees, physicians, patients and family members. Excellent critical thinking, sound judgement and problem solving skills essential to respond quickly and efficiently to meet the needs/requests of - Saturday during established office hours (7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.) based on business need.
