Interviews the patient or his/her representative upon arrival to the hospital to secure accurate demographic and insurance information.
High School graduate or equivalent. Two years experience in Patient Access Registration or equivalent healthcare related experience required. Proficient in Windows environment. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications preferred. Must be able to operate computer, calculator, telephone and other office equipment. Must be keyboard proficient. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet the needs of the Patient Access department and the Clinical areas. Ability to perform job duties in self-directed work environments. Varied work schedule, may be asked to cover other shifts as department's business needs are established.
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
