The HEDIS Review Nurse works in collaboration with the Performance Managementdepartment to provide support for various databases, registries and health planreporting requirements.  Collect and enter primary and specialty care data management support for various teams and committees, and supports the organization's vision and direction for performance management.  Conducts studies, gathers data from appropriate information sources and systems, utilizes appropriate graphical representation and prepares reports on assigned focus studies.  Works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop performance improvement strategies, as assigned.  Works independently on assigned projects, utilizing a high level of initiative, judgment, and critical thinking skills.   

BSN or BA in health related field, preferred. RN with current California license. Minimum 1year experience in varied hospital and/or medical group information systems implementations and analysis preferred.  Strong Skills in medical terminology required.  Knowledge of database management and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint preferred. Knowledge of CernerEHR documentation preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Abilityto translate and extract current departmental and regulatory reporting requirements from the electronic health record documentation. Must possess a high degree of attention to detail. Proven project management skills related to timely data reporting requirements preferred. Requires effective communication with clinicians, staff and directors/supervisors, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize a large volume of work in order to complete not only the daily duties of the job but also any timely projects that may be assigned. Normally works eight-hour day; flexible.  Hours will vary according to work demands and project requirements.
