Responsible for providing direct patient care in support of a provider in an ambulatory care setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician.

High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Certification required. Current CPR certification. One year's experience in ambulatory care setting preferred. Previous experience with medication administration required. Demonstrated effective time MA management skills. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing ambulatory nursing care as appropriate for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal. Knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to interact positively with all levels of staff, practitioners, employers, insurers and patients. Excellent critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem solving skills essential to respond quickly and manage multiple priorities. Uses effective time management skills and exhibits initiative for spending time productively. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in developing and promoting high performance work groups. Moderate physical activity including ability to assist patients, frequent ambulation and prolonged standing. Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm. Bilingual preferred.
