Graduate from a school of professional registered nursing.  BSN preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.  Must have a minimum of 1 year recent experience doing Primary Coronary Intervention in a Cardiac Cath Lab performing no less than 50 cases per month required.  Minimum 2 years experience as an RN in critical care required. Current certification in basic AHA or equivalent CPR. Must have current ACLS.  Telemetry Certification and Moderate Sedation Certification must be completed within the 90 day introductory period.  IABP Certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.  Stand-by availability required.  Transportation available to meet call back time requirements.  Must have current valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance to meet current Risk Management guidelines.

Applies the nursing process in providing care; can perform advanced nursing functions.  Capable of working independently.  Performs basic computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers.  Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment.  Responsible for providing continuity and/or improving the quality of patient care within the Cardiac Cath Lab. Applies the nursing process in providing care; can perform basic nursing functions. Capable of working independently. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for patients in the following age groups: adult and geriatric.
