Clinical Nurse II - ICU-VVH

Graduate from a school of professional registered nursing. BSN preferred. Current CA licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current AHA certification or equivalent in basic CPR. One year acute care experience required. One year critical care experience preferred. BLS required. ACLS required. CCRN certification is recommended. Completion of critical care course is preferred. IABP certification is preferred.

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients within an assigned area. Applies the nursing process in providing care; can perform basic nursing functions. Demonstrates skills in the areas including but not limited to: arrhythmia interpretation, invasive monitoring, advanced patient assessment, safe utilization of medications, advanced airway management and ventilator care. Capable of working independently. Good written, verbal and electronic communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for patients in the following age groups: older pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
